Today marks the start of Jewel Changi preview period, which means that there’s less than a week till the Grand Opening of Pokemon Center Singapore – the first ever Pokemon Center to open outside of Japan.
Though the Pokemon Center Singapore will be up and running for the duration of the Jewel Changi preview, note that the official Grand Opening is on 17 April. In other words, these freebies can’t be collected during the preview period.
With every Pokemon Center’s Grand Opening, there’s usually a commemorative gift for visitors on the first day. Singapore is no different, it seems, as the Official Pokemon Singapore page has recently announced the Grand Opening Campaign for Pokemon Center Singapore!
From 10a.m. on the 17th of April, Pokemon Center’s visitors can redeem a limited edition postcard while stocks last!
Visitors can also collect a free limited edition Pokemon Center Singapore sticker, but that’s only if they like and share this Facebook post (shown below). They must then show proof of having done so to the Pokemon Center staff, before they can collect their sticker. Again, this is all while stocks last!
The Grand Opening Campaign doesn’t stop there either! Customers who spend more than $50 in a single receipt can stand a chance to redeem a special Pokemon gift. The special gifts appear to be figurines, judging from the announcement poster.
Much like Pokemon Centers that are located in Japan, Pokemon Center Singapore will be offering birthday presents to those who visit their stores during their birthday month! Of course, these visitors will have to provide proof that it’s their birthday month, by providing showing their driving license, passport or identity card to any store staff members.
Though it is still unconfirmed when exactly these birthday gifts will start being distributed, the gifts are supposedly:
- A serial code to redeem a Chansey in Pokemon Let’s GO;
- A birthday crown (One of two designs);
- A birthday card with a special illustration; and
- A 10% discount that can be used at Pokemon Center Singapore.
