It’s almost D-Day game fans! Today’s the penultimate day for the ZOWIE Asia Extremesland Counterstrike Asia Open 2024 and it’s a real humdinger. Only the best of the best are left, and the matches we saw today are certainly reflective of that!
Each victory hard earned. Fought with sweat, nerves and headshots galore. There’s probably a fair (or more than a fair) amount of swearing thrown in as well but since we can’t hear the players’ chat, we can’t know for sure. The point is, there’s a tremendous amount of pressure for the teams to perform and it takes massive amount of mental fortitude to be able to cope with that.
All I know is if it was me playing, I’d be cussing like a drunken sailor with Tourette Syndrome every single match, win or lose. In fact, I’m actually like that pretty much all the time in real life. Only the faintest shred of professionalism keeps whatever I write from being profanity laced rants.
Before I get to the results, let me take the time to thank once again the kind folks from ZOWIE Asia, Emerge Group and DIFY Singapore for bringing me over to Shanghai to cover the tournament. It’s really been an awesome experience!
