Hogwarts Legacy has become one of the games that I’m mostly looking forward to playing on next-gen consoles.

The Harry Potter franchise has countless amounts of fans around the world. My siblings and cousins are immense devotees of the books and movies, but it’s probably for the best not to ask them unless you’re ready to listen to their rambling for hours.

However, I never really got into it as much as the rest. I’ve only watched the first two movies in the saga, and I was thoroughly bored. I don’t think it was the story that didn’t work out for me, but more of the element of magic in it. I’m more into the idea of clashing with swords rather than conjuring up spells from a safe distance.

So when I heard about the Hogwarts Legacy game, I wasn’t as excited about it, but the fact that it was coming to the next-gen consoles forced me to have a look.

Get ready for your admission to Hogwarts Legacy!

Hogwarts Legacy was announced and revealed during the PlayStation 5 Showcase. And before this, I knew nothing about it except that it was supposedly an RPG game set in the magical world of Harry Potter. So imagine my surprise, when I decided that I needed the game at the end of the trailer.

The first half trailer starts slowly by showing the intricate yet detailed designs of Hogwarts, along with your very own customizable character who gradually advances in the school of wizardry by learning and meeting companions along the way.

At this moment, despite the game looking excellent in terms of visual appearance, I was pretty sure it was going to be like another The Sims game where you improve your character and live in the Hogwarts throughout the time.

It’s the second of the trailer where the game truly picks up and shines. Imagine my shock when it finally hit me that it was an open-world RPG game that allows you to travels across locations to battle monsters like trolls and dragons, and battle against dark wizards. And by the end of the trailer, I was already wondering how cool it would be if they allowed you to ride on the dragons!

It was pretty clear to me that I would play Hogwarts Legacy without a doubt despite not knowing much about the Harry Potter franchise or whatsoever. Unfortunately, the game has no official release date as of now; however, you’ll be glad to know that it will be arriving on multiple platforms such as the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
