The Big Show Show
Joining Netflix’s line-up of family comedies like No Good Nick is a new project with WWE Studios starring WWE superstar The Big Show.
The Big Show Show is a half-hour, multi-cam comedy series that tells the story of retired wrestler dealing with post global fame and his teenage daughter (played by Reylynn Caster) living with him, his wife (Allison Munn) and two other daughters (Juliet Donenfeld and Lily Brooks O’Briant).
Josh Bycel and Jason Berger are the series’ executive producers and showrunners. Both have worked together before on American sitcom, Happy Endings. Bycel also did Scrubs and American Dad while Berger did Champaign ILL and LA to Vegas. From the WWE side, Susan Levison and Richard Lowell will also be co-executive producing the show.
They have yet to announce the release date for The Big Show Show but production is scheduled to begin on 9 August. The series will have 10 episodes.

The other project that Netflix and WWE Studios are working on is the live-action family film called The Main Event. It’s based on an original screenplay written by Larry Postel. Jay Karas will serve as director while WWE Studios’ Richard Lowell as producer and Susan Levison and Maggie Malina as executive producers.
WWE announced that the story is about an 11-year-old aspiring wrestler finding a magical mask and entering a competition to become the next WWE superstar. The main cast includes Seth Carr, Tichina Arnold, Ken Marino and Adam Pally.
The film will also be featuring WWE superstars Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Sheamus and more.
Production for The Main Event started earlier than The Big Show Show and is set to start streaming on Netflix in 2020.
