E3 is almost wrapping up but one thing still remains…swooping down and nabbing the best bargains in the E3 sales that are going on for both Xbox and PS4 owners.

The sheer numbers of the games involved in the sales along are scary (but in a good way) but buying them all is obviously out of the question. You have a budget, I have a budget…everybody has budgets.

So unless you want to be broke for the next month, you might want to take a look at our suggestions for what you should aim for.

This isn’t just a general recommendation, it’s a personal one. I really bought these games and if you don’t have them in your collection, you should really consider getting them too.

Ok, hang on to your wallets…cause HERE WE GO!

What I bought for the Xbox One.

You can find the deals online at Microsoft’s website.

Devil May Cry 5 – Deluxe Edition.

Original price: $83.90
Sale price: $56.21

When Devil May Cry 5 came out, I didn’t get it because I was swamped reviewing other games. I’ve always regretted it because it honestly looked like a great sequel and something I’d like to review.

So I was pretty much waiting for the game to come on sale. Lo and behold; it did! Now, $27.69 might not sound like such a good deal, especially for a single player game with no multiplayer but you have to take into account the game’s relative newness (it released on March 8 2019) and that this is the top tier edition of the game.

Factor that in and you’ll see that it’s a decent buy, especially if you’ve been hankering for a chance to play it but don’t want to pay full price.

Mega Man 30th Anniversary Collection.

xbox e3

Original price: $71.90
Sale price: $48.17

19 games for $50 (ok, $48.17) is a damn good deal in anybody’s book.

If you’re a completionist who needs to have every single game in a series in their collection (like me), this is a dream come true. You get both Legacy Collections PLUS Mega Man 11 (the latest). Apart from the spin-offs (Mega Man Zero, Legend and so on) this is the most comprehensive package of the Blue Bomber on ANY console.

Did I mention it’s cheap too?

Far Cry 5 Gold Edition + Far Cry New Dawn Deluxe Edition Bundle.

xbox e3

Original price: $139.90
Sale price: $55.96

If you’re a fan of Ubisoft’s Far Cry series, this is a no-brainer. I reviewed Far Cry 5 on the PS4 Pro for GameAxis when it came out and was pretty impressed with it, so I just bided my time until a good deal came along for the Xbox One (so I can replay it on the Xbox One X).

That it came bundled with Far Cry New Dawn is a bonus (a very welcome one), especially since both games are essential one. Yup, if you’ve not heard, New Dawn is a sequel to Far Cry 5, set years in the future.

For $55.96, the bundle is a VERY good deal considering that you get TWO complete editions of the games with zero DLC missing.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands – Ultimate Edition

xbox e3

Original price: $116.90
Sale price: $35.07

Why would I recommend the Ultimate Edition over the cheaper Gold Edition, I hear you ask. Don’t Ubisoft’s Gold Editions always come with the Season Pass?

They do, except not in this case, which is why you’ll want the Ultimate Edition instead. The Gold Edition only comes with the Year 2 Pass for the Ghost War mode, which is a decent deal, but does nothing for you if you’re only interested in the main game.

The pricing for it also makes it a damn good deal, with it NEVER having fallen this low before for Microsoft’s console. Oh, and don’t forget, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is coming, so you’re definitely going to want to play this one, especially since Operation Oracle ties in to that game.

Watch Dogs 2 – Gold Edition.

xbox e3

Original price: $123.90
Sale price: $24.78

It doesn’t take a genius to see how this is a good deal, right? It might be a tad old but the Gold Edition of Watch Dogs 2 has never been this low on the Xbox One.

On top of that, since Watch Dogs Legion is coming soon, it’s the perfect time to catch up on the series. With the Gold Edition, you’ll be getting EVERYTHING for Watch Dogs 2, so you won’t miss a damn thing too!

So that’s it boys and gals. Everything I bought from the Xbox E3 sale. Tomorrow, we’ll be taking a look at the PSN’s Days of Play promotion, and what games I recommend you get!

Till then amigos!

Disclaimer:

You might notice the games are from Ubisoft and Capcom.

No, they’re not paying me to promote their games but in this cases, they’re really a good deal, especially with Watch Dogs 2 and Ghost Recon. Both have incoming sequels and both are at their lowest price ever on the Xbox One for the Xbox E3 sale.
