Kick, punch…it’s all in the mind.

Team Ninja’s been hard at work, grinding away at Dead or Alive 6, as it prepares to release on March 1. If you’re an Xbox Live or Playstation Plus subscriber though, you can try it out TODAY as the limited time Dead or Alive 6 Deluxe Demo is now available.

The demo is pretty different from your run of the mill demo. Yes, it is limited time only (from 22 February to 24 February) but that’s not the thing that sets it apart. It actually contains 24 fighters from the game, a far cry from the paltry handful of characters usually available in demos.

If you’re wondering, here’s who’s playable in the demo.

  • Kasumi
  • Helena
  • Hayate
  • Hayabusa
  • Jann Lee
  • Zack
  • Diego
  • Rig,
  • Hitomi
  • Leifang
  • Ayane
  • Marie Rose
  • Honoka
  • Bayman
  • Bass
  • Tina
  • Mila
  • Christie
  • Nico
  • Kokoro
  • La Mariposa
  • Brad Wong
  • Eliot
  • Raidou

On top of playing as most of the game’s roster, those who try out the demo also get to experience a taste of the game’s new Story mode, alongside the Training modes such as Free Training, Tutorial, Command Training and Combo Challenge.

It also includes online multiplayer in the form of the game’s Ranked match. Of course, this being a demo, expect a ton of features to be unavailable to try.

Koei Tecmo’s even kind enough to provide us with a new trailer to accompany the demo’s launch!

You can find out more about the Deluxe Demo at the Dead or Alive 6 official website. There’s even a handy FAQ if you’re still confused by all this.

If you’re on the Xbox One, you can get the demo here. PS4 users, head on over here to get it.

Once you’re done, do Koei Tecmo a solid and head over here for a survey regarding the demo. Like the Resident Evil 2 survey, this will immensely help the developers see what the community wants and how they can improve on the finished game via patches.

Sadly, even though the game’s also slated for a PC release, there doesn’t seem to be a demo headed for the platform. However, with March 1 just a few paltry days away, PC gamers won’t have that long to wait to start brawling.
