TGS 2021 will be held at the Makuhari Messe in Japan later this month. Unfortunately, due to the stupid travel restrictions between Singapore and Japan, we’re unable to attend to provide coverage from the ground…so this is the next best thing. Square Enix will be holding a ‘Special Live Broadcast’ (their words) on October 1, at 2000hrs (SGT).

That’s not all the company has in store for TGS, as they’ve announced a slate of broadcasts that cover their upcoming titles.

Special Live Broadcast

I have no idea if there will be any surprises (chances are high though) but expect announced titles like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier and Forspoken to be on the cards.

If I was a betting man though…I’d also bet that we’d get one last look at Endwalker, the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV expansion. I’m salivating at the prospect of trying out the Sage class (though I hate playing as a healer) and the new Reaper class too!

Other than that…another safe bet would be more Marvel’s Avengers footage (Spidey is supposed to come out later this year) and news of further content drops for the game.

I’d say Final Fantasy XVI would also be a good bet to resurface too. We’ve not heard anything from the game in months, though Square Enix did say that it would only reveal more closer to the game’s release.

One Final Fantasy game I’d bet against seeing would be Final Fantasy X-3 (or whatever it’s called). While we know it’s coming, I don’t think it’s even gone into production yet…which is a damn shame because this is the Final Fantasy title I’ve been waiting for!

Still, just make time to tune in on October 1 2000hrs for Square Enix’s Special Live Broadcast!
