Cyberpunk 2077. Just the wait itself for this game to come by the end of the year is excruciating. Then again, you can’t rush perfection so as long as the game blows my mind, I’ll wait patiently to play it on the next-gen console.

In the meantime, we can enjoy the little teases from the game, through the Night City Wire coverage videos. And in the latest coverage, we are introduced to the world and gangs of Cyberpunk 2077, as Keanu Reeves graces us with his voice.

The World.

If you’ve seen the demo of this Cyberpunk 2077, then you know CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is creating a wonderful and unique world. But trust me when I say, nothing could have prepared you or me for what this trailer reveals. The atmosphere and environments in the game were great before, but now it just looks like you’re about to enter an alternate reality.

CDPR seems to have built a community where you’ll truly feel like you’re living in it. You can explore different locations and experience meaningful exposure, meet various NPCs who are not just there to give quests but have their own life, virtual food to consume and also clubbing in the seedy underbelly of Night City. Who knows what else?

If I didn’t know any better, I’d assume that Cyberpunk 2077 was the Matrix just without the plugging in part because needles are the worst.

And what’s a beautiful world without people trying to ruin it regularly? Sometimes the best way to solve it is to put them to sleep, permanently! Don’t worry; I’m just referring to the gangs that you’ll be facing in Cyberpunk that’s going to be giving you a hard time as you try to enjoy life in the Night City.

The trailer showcases off nine gangs that are occupying the world of Cyberpunk 2077 and each one significantly different from the other in terms of combat, belief and goals. CDPR has taken the time and effort to populate the world with meaningful enemies whom we can relate to on some level. Organisations such as the Valentinos who believe in honour and the Nomads in the concept of family first, while others are your everyday Joker level crazy like the Maelstrom.

This game is going to be great and one for the books. And just like that, we must now wait for the next Night City Wire coverage to find out more.
