Just recently, the rumour mill mentioned how Kit Harington might be the new Wolverine but looks like he’s more ready to play Dane Whitman in the upcoming Marvel movie, Eternals.

Unlike the rest of the main cast, Harington will be portraying the only human in the team, Dane Whitman. Dane is a physicist and the nephew of Nathan Garrett who is the villain known as Black Knight. Dane has no idea about that side of his uncle. Before Nathan dies, he tells Dane to use his research for good just like he had with evil.

Dane later inherited the Garrett Castle and the Black Night mantle as a hero, along with the enchanted Ebony Blade that was first wielded by Sir Percy of Scandia aka the first Black Knight. However, the blade is also cursed because of all the blood that Sir Percy had shed with it. We may get to see Dane battling with inner turmoil due to this, something we’re very familiar with since Harington played the ever conflicted Jon Snow in Game of Thrones.

Dane is also tied to the Eternal Sersi (Gemma Chan) by way of the Gann Josin. Gann Josin is a telepathic and empathic bond between an Eternal and their chosen partner, making them lifelong soulmates. As a result, Dane also received temporary enhanced strength, speed and durability and the ability to see through magical illusions. So we could potentially all this play out in the upcoming film.

And there it is the final lineup of Marvel’s Eternals main cast. Harington joins fellow GoT actor Richard Madden (Ikaris), Kumail Nanjiani (Kingo), Lauren Ridloff (Makkari), Brian Tyree Henry (Phastos), Salma Hayek (Ajak), Lia McHugh (Sprite), Don Lee (Gilgamesh), Angelina Jolie (Thena), Barry Keoghan (Druig) and Gemma Chan (Sersi).

Marvel officially reveals most of the cast in costume at the D23 Expo 2019.

The film is scheduled to premiere
