Minecraft might be getting a new mobile, augmented reality game soon.

The new teaser trailer posted on Microsoft’s official Youtube account is light on details but we do see a couple of very interesting details about the game.

It certainly looks to be an augmented reality experience, with the pig overlaid over real locations in the trailer. There’s also an inventory at the bottom of the screen, which suggests gameplay of some sort.

The inventory certainly suggests a more interactive AR experience other than viewing pigs.

Weirdly, there’s no mining or crafting shown in the teaser, which are arguably the core of Minecraft.

Perhaps that’ll be revealed in a new teaser trailer or something…after all, the released trailer ends with a cryptic May 17 date on-screen and directions to go to Minecraft’s official website then.

We’ll definitely be keeping a close on eye this as May 17 rolls around. Stay tuned!
