In a totally unforeseen move, Ubisoft has introduced the Rabbids into their medieval combat fighter, For Honor. It’s part of the company’s annual April Fool’s hijinks, and will last for just 24 hours, till 9PM PDT (12PM SGT).

We thought it was a joke too…until we saw screenshots and videos of the event in action. We just had to reinstall For Honor to give it a whirl.

It’s totally random seeing the lovable (if extremely moronic) Rabbids in For Honor, especially as both universes have pretty much nothing in common. While the Rabbids are all about slapstick comedy and violence, For Honor is ultra serious with its carnage, with barely any humor.

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Well…that’s out the window in the latest event. Not only is the menu music zanier and weirder, moving the cursor and highlighting options will bring up the Rabbids’ usual ‘Bwaaaah’ sound effects.

Rabbids replace the AI soldiers, giving the battles of For Honor a much more humorous affair. No matter how you look at it, it’s just funny smacking a giant Rabbid, even if it’s with a bladed weapon.
