Remember how great Star Wars used to be? It sure feels like a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
Despite how separated the current fan base for the Star Wars franchise may be, we all can agree it was a legendary icon. Hell, some claim it still is.
We’re still holding out hope that the franchise can be saved by some sort of miracle but honestly after Star Wars: The Last Jedi and EA’s Star Wars games being cancelled over and over again, everyone is adjusting their expectations accordingly.
Now it seems that the waiting and hoping is about to pay off. No, I’m not referring to Star Wars Episode 9 (we all know how that’s going to go…). I’m actually talking about the upcoming Star Wars game called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
What gives me optimism that this won’t suck? For starters, it’s from the developers that brought you Apex Legends and the Titanfall series, Respawn Entertainment. And given their recent huge success of Apex Legends, I’d say the future is looking great for their upcoming Star Wars game.
From Respawn Entertainment comes a brand-new action adventure game which tells an original Star Wars™ story around a surviving Padawan set shortly after the events of Star Wars™: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith™. The game will be releasing Holiday 2019.
There have only been very few details shared about the game so far but as for what we know, it’s that the game will be in singleplayer only (finally!) and it will be set shortly after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
If you can’t wait to find out more then just be patient a little while longer because the game is to be showcased (with a panel discussion too) at Star Wars Celebration this April.
May the Force be you!
