Tokyo Game Show 2025. No matter how many years I’ve attended, I still get the chills as I go down the escalator from the overpass and catch sight of the Makuhari Messe’s courtyard.
This is gaming’s mecca.
Sure there are contenders like gamescom but let’s be honest here. Japan rules all when it comes to video game culture. There will never be anything that can stand up to the Tokyo Game Show. Not in my lifetime at least.
Despite that hallowed status, not many of us gamers are lucky enough to attend it. That’s why this year, we upgraded our gear to include the Insta360 X5 (a 360 degree camera), so that everybody can truly be there to experience Tokyo Game Show 2025.
Now, Insta360 Studio is a crap app which dilutes the resolution of the videos. We record them in 4K, but the output…isn’t. Make sure to raise the resolution on the Youtube videos as high as you can to get the best quality. I’ll be looking into other 360 video encoders, but in the meantime, enjoy what we have!
The video’s cut right at the Press entrance (as I had to show my credentials) but picks right up as I pass through the checkpoint and right into the main hall proper!
You’re not missing out on much, just a few seconds!
Keep an eye out here for more 360 degree videos coming soon…including a look at the SEGA booth, KONAMI’s Silent Hill f Experience and more!
