I can’t wait for Deadpool & Wolverine. Other than Cable, I probably have more figures of Wolverine than any other Marvel character! I love Deadpool too!

Hell, I even made a diorama of the two with my Hot Toys figures!

Deadpool & Wolverine

Yes, that is Deadpool hugging Logan while holding a stuffed unicorn. He’s whispering sweet nothings to Logan who’s threatening an Infinity Gauntlet wielding Tony Stark, with the Avengers (sans Hulk, who’s displayed in the living room going up against the Hulkbuster) gathered around.

I know that’s probably never going to happen in my lifetime (not unless we can make AI movies in the next few years) but hey, at least I still have my imagination, right? Deadpool and Wolverine’s a match made in heaven! The only thing better would’ve been Deadpool & Cable, and they’ve already done that (albeit pretty unsatisfyingly) in the second Deadpool movie!

That’s why I can’t wait for him to finally return to theatres later this month in Deadpool & Wolverine…and this latest gag trailer is just icing on the cake.

To be fair, it doesn’t contain anything new. We’ve seen this all before, there’s nothing spoiler-ish or new in the trailer. Nothing at all.

That’s not the point here! It’s the fourth wall breaking that’s funny. The subliminal messaging?

I’d never honestly even thought of Wolverine as Mustard and Deadpool as Ketchup. I always had reserved that mental image for Mortal Kombat’s robot ninjas; Sektor and Cyrax.

Deadpool & Wolverine

Now…now I can’t see Deadpool and Wolverine in any other way. I also can’t think of them without thinking of Heinz now.

Genius marketing Heinz.

I now have the urge to buy me some Heinz Baked Beans. Maybe there is something to the subliminal messaging thing after all?!

Dammit.
