The Mandalorian is almost here, and we are ready for it. This is the way.

After Disney acquired the rights to the Star Wars franchise, it just hasn’t been the same. The movies were a complete disaster that destroyed many excellent story arcs of various characters that we have been growing up with since the beginning. Characters like Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa truly deserved better recognition and direction in the films.

When it seemed like all hope was lost, I came across Star Wars: Rebels. Most people didn’t seem to like it and saw it as just a kids’ show. But trust me, it had so many fascinating and meaningful characters in it, that it became one of my favourite shows. The man responsible for the show was Dave Filoni, the one who gave us the Clone Wars animated series.

So when The Mandalorian live-action series got first announced back in 2018; I knew it was in good hands and that it was going to be a great show. So when the show was released and turned out to be exactly just that, I wasn’t surprised but just glad that the Star Wars franchise lives! And also the existence of Baby Yoda was the icing on the cake for fans.

The Mandalorian, the John Wick of Star Wars!

The first season of The Mandalorian was released earlier this year on May and consisted of eight episodes in total. It was a short season, but it laid the groundwork for a lot of characters to be explored in the future. Ever since then, fans have been clamouring to for season two, and have been wondering when it would arrive.

Well now, we have a definite answer thanks to the trailer of The Mandalorian season two that dropped earlier today. The trailer doesn’t spoil much of anything, just like the season one trailers of the show which is a smart way to keep us interested.

What we do get to see is that Mando and still very much attached to Baby Yoda, and is quite busy travelling the world in search of its people. Whilst getting hunted by the Empire and it seems like by the Republic too with the reveal of X-Wings chasing them down. Let’s not forget Baby Yoda as well, who in this trailer seemed to have finally accepted that when Mando starts to fight, you better take cover.

Season two will also be bringing back a well-known character into the live-action series. Ahsoka Tano, the breakout star of the Clone Wars animated series, will be making an appearance and is portrayed by Rosario Dawson. If that wasn’t exciting enough, Boba Fett, played by Temuera Morrison, will also in the show. The interaction between these two Mandalorians is undoubtedly going to be one to be remembered.

Are you excited for the new season as we are? We can’t wait for the new season to drop and it seems we won’t have to wait for too long either. Season two of The Mandalorian will be premiering on Disney Plus on 30th October.

So get your jet packs ready and let everyone know that this is the way to the new season!
