We’re back for another quarterly round of tradeshows and this time, our feet have landed at SITEX to check out what’s new @The Expo.

There seems to be a few new faces this year so let’s get to it.

Video Walkthrough

Of course, what is a tradeshow without a video walkthrough?

Here is our highlights video:

Coming Soon!

Jumanji Obstacle Challenge

Fancy yourself a challenge to earn tickets to December Blockbuster, Jumanji? Now is the chance to do it if you can run the short obstacle course gauntlet at one of the booths stationed in Hall 5.

The course doesn’t seem difficult and you have a generous amount of time to complete it so do check it out if you are going to see the movie anyway!

APOL Gaming Chairs

It is always nice to see new competition rising up from upstart players. Looks like we have a new competitor in the Gaming Chair scene. In what is their first tradeshow this year (or ever, in fact), we got to see a new line-up of gaming chairs from APOL, a piece of life in short.

While it slipped our mind to ask about the approximate pricing, expect them to be competitively priced against SecretLab chairs in a bid to take some market share from the current leader.

If the stars align, expect a review from us within a few months!

Ironman VR experience @ Playstation Booth

What show is complete without something you can try at the Playstation booth? This time, they’ve brought in the new title in their Playstation VR lineup, Ironman VR. Due to come out early next year, you can come preview and shoot for the skies with this new demo a neat few months before the official release.

Ultracore Limited Edition Ryzen 3950x build @AftershockPC

What if you had a cool $5000 lying around for your PC? Aftershock demonstrates this effect with a neat looking build with the recently released 3950x CPU from AMD. Coupled with the 2080ti, this is just about the highest end spec for a consumer PC, HEDT aside.

Expedient users will be able to pick this one up on an online order first-serve basis on the last day of the show for $5,299 SGD. Of course, with only 1 available, chances are slim so may the odds ever be in your favor!

UB Tech Robots

Itching to try out some cool toys? UBTech has a booth in the show that let’s you try out the basics of microelectronics engineering!

Unlike other shows, there is no entry fee for you to try out the features of their robots; they’ve even setup a mini-game booth where kids and adults alike can play a game of robot football by controlling 2 opposing robots on the field.

Psst, you can buy the robots as well if you wish(though not very cheaply, as things are)!

Bonus: Nintendo Switch (Gen1) @$399 at Game Extreme

As we always go one step beyond, we also saw the Nintendo Switch going for $399 at the Game Extreme booth (Note: they aren’t very visible but you can look out for the MyRepublic signage on top of the booth!) which is about $20 cheaper than what I have seen going for previously.

This would be a good time to pick one up for Pokémon if you haven’t already (as you must) although do keep in mind that the second revision has a longer battery life though. If that is not much of a concern for you, do check it out; I’m sure they’ll throw in some freebies as well.

Chia is the horse-author from the far flung year of 2153. While not grazing on grass pastures or reviewing old time-y games and technology from the early 21st century pretending to not know what comes next (as to not disturb the space-time continuum), he can be seen exchanging vast quantities of Earth currency for parts needed to fix his damaged space ship.
