Blizzard’s missteps continue to haunt the (once) beloved company.
From angering fans over their actions regarding streamers, to various fan boycotts…and now, their cancelling of the Overwatch launch event for the Nintendo Switch.
It was supposed to happen today but mysteriously, the event’s been nixed with little explanation from all parties involved.
Please be aware that the previously announced Overwatch launch event scheduled for Wednesday, 10/16 at NintendoNYC has been cancelled by Blizzard. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

With protests planned for the upcoming BlizzCon, it’s no surprise that Blizzard’s not taking any chance with the Overwatch launch on the Switch.
Here’s hoping that the game is actually comparable (30fps notwithstanding) to the other console and PC versions or Blizzard’s going to have yet another PR nightmare on their hands.
