With all the hubbub surrounding Alien this year, it’s great to see that we’re still seeing even more surprise’s as the film’s anniversary events wind down.

We’ve had the short films, the new Memory: The Origins of Alien documentary and now, we’ve getting a new novel…with a surprising new main character!

It’s Zula Hendricks!

Now if you’ve been reading Dark Horse’s INCREDIBLE Aliens books, that’s going to be a mighty familiar name.

For those who don’t, Zula’s a marine (or ex-Marine, depending on the timeline) who HATES Weyland Yutani almost as much as the Ripleys.

While she’s teamed up with Amanda Ripley in the current Aliens comics series (Aliens: Rescue), it seems like this novel’s set after Aliens: Defiance but before joining up with Amanda in Aliens: Resistance…and waaaaay before Aliens: Rescue.

Corporate spy Tamar Prather steals a Xenomorph Egg from Weyland-Yutani, taking it to a lab facility run by Venture, a Weyland-Yutani competitor.
