Joining Victoria Pedretti and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Mike Flanagan confirmed a total of eight actors have been added to the cast of the upcoming horror series The Haunting of Bly Manor. Flanagan is the show’s creator, director and writer.

It’s going to feel like a reunion as three of the eight are familiar faces from the show’s predecessor The Haunting of Hill House.

The first familiar face from the recent round of announcements is Henry Thomas. He played young Hugh Crain in The Haunting of Hill House.

The second is Kate Siegel who portrayed adult Theo Crain, the one with the psychic ability.

And the third is Catherine Parker who took on the role of Poppy Hill, one of the ghosts living at Hill House.

In the same series of tweets, Flanagan went on to introduce the other five cast members: T’Nia Miller, Rahul Kohli, Amelia Eve, Benjamin Ainsworth and Amelie Smith.

Miller, whom Flanagan called “amazing”, is a British-South African actress well known for her work in Years and Years, Hatton Garden and Doctor Who. It’s not clear yet on which roles she, Parker, Siegel and Thomas will be taking on the new Bly Manor series.

As for Kohli and Eve, Flanagan revealed that they will be playing two of the new lead characters. Meanwhile, Ainsworth and Smith were brought on to portray the “crucial roles” of Miles and Flora from The Turn of the Screw.

As reported previously, The Turn of the Screw is the name of the 1898 horror novella by Henry James that The Haunting of Bly Manor will be based on.

That’s all the updates this time. Stay tuned for more!
