Based on the DC Comics, new episodes for the American web TV series Titans are set for release very soon on 6 September. The show is about a group of young heroes joining forces to fight evil.
The first season mainly revolves around the back story of how the heroes get together, train their powers and learn to work together as a team. All the while a demonic supervillain named Trigon puts his plan to take over the world into motion. The team of heroes consist of Dick Grayson who was formerly Batman’s partner Robin (Brenton Thwaites), Kory Anders aka Starfire (Anna Diop), Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft) and Garfield “Gar” Logan (Ryan Potter).
They’re joined by the rest of the main cast: Hank Hall aka Hawk (Alan Ritchson), Dawn Granger aka Dove II (Minka Kelly) and Jason Todd aka Batman’s current sidekick Robin II (Curran Walters). Donna Troy (Conor Leslie) looks to be back as well.

In the new Season 2, the original main cast from Season 1 will reprise their roles as the story continues. Things get more complicated as the Titans face new threats, which means new characters. You can spot some of them in the Season 2 trailer that came out earlier this month.
Here’s the official Titans Season 2 trailer:
The trailer doesn’t tell the full story of where it will take the Titans to, but it looks like they’re more of a unit now as compared to the first season. They have definitely grown as individual heroes as well as being in a team.
As Grayson says in the trailer: “There are no sidekicks in Titans, we’re partners. We have each other’s backs.”

But of course, that doesn’t make things easier for Titans as they fight new foes, one of which in particular is Deathstroke aka Slade Wilson (Esai Morales).
Along with him, Slade’s daughter Rose aka Ravager (Chelsea Zhang) and son Joseph aka Jericho (Chella Man) will be part of Season 2.

Also spotted in the trailer is Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Iain Glen). After teasing a Batman appearance in the first season, we finally get to see the face of the billionaire/vigilante. Looks like he’ll be playing a bigger role in Titans, possibly actively mentoring Dick again.

The first season also teased Superboy and his superdog companion Krypto at the end of the finale. But like Batman, the role was never cast either till now. Joshua Orpin will be portraying Conner Kent aka Superboy in Season 2.
Though not seen in the trailer, Lex Luthor’s right hand Mercy Graves (Natalie Gumede), Garth aka Aqualad (Drew Van Acker) and research scientist Dr Eve Watson (Genevieve Angelson) are reportedly involved in Season 2.

There’s no telling yet on how the new characters will be introduced. But with this character line-up, it sounds like Titans Season 2 will be another fun watch.
On 6 September, the new episodes of Titans will be available for streaming on DC Universe in the US and on Netflix internationally.
