As one might expect, most of the reactions were positive!
The world premiere of Avengers: Endgame happened just this morning in L.A. Most of the actors of the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as members of the production crew and a couple of members of the press, were able to attend the very first screening of the film Avengers: Endgame. They’ve since tweeted out how they felt about the film.
Don’t worry about spoilers, by the way: most of the people who tweeted out their reactions to the film did so without mentioning any plot details. No spoilers for the post-credit scene, too! The post-credit scene(s) weren’t aired at the premiere, apparently – so no one really knows if there are any.
What The Reviews Say:
It seems we’re in for an emotional rollercoaster. Just about every reaction so far has mentioned some degree of crying. Even Chris Evans, who plays Captain America, claims to have cried 6 times! Better get those tissues ready.
What’s a Marvel movie without its comedy, though? This film critic claims that Endgame perfectly blends in humor amidst all that’s going on in the film.
Fandango’s managing editor Erik Davis had tons of praise to sing about the film as well, but also mentioned to go in without expecting of an Infinity War sequel.
Senior film reporter Beatrice Verhoeven even goes as far to say that all the theorising that everyone’s done since Infinity War, does nothing to prepare us for what we’re going to see.
She’s not the only one who’s said so, either. Film enthusiast Kevin McCarthy agrees:
Overall, there’s a general consensus that Endgame is an “emotional rollercoaster”, and the perfect conclusion to “the greatest movie saga in history”. Sounds like it deserves a rewatch or two for sure, and I haven’t even seen the film yet!
Avengers: Endgame begins showing in Singapore cinemas tomorrow. Stay tuned for our (spoiler-free) review of the movie, coming your way on Thursday!
