Shilin Night Market (士林夜市, for those that can speak/ read Chinese) is one of Taiwan’s largest and most popular night markets, filled with a large variety of food stalls and different kinds of shops.

Lucky for us Singaporeans, the famous night market will be hitting our shores, starting from tomorrow!

What to Expect

Singapore’s version of Shilin Night Market promises to let visitors experience the tastes of Taiwan, with a local twist. By recreating the concept of the famous night market, a wide variety of Taiwanese street delicacies will be brought in with many local vendors, who’ll be serving Singaporean eats alongside them.

If you’d like more specific details on the kinds of food offered, you can check out the event’s Instagram (@ShiLinSingapore) or Facebook page to see which vendors will be present.

If you’re not a foodie, don’t fret! The event page has mentioned that there will be pop-up artisan stores at the event itself, so you’ll be able to get some shopping done. On the entertainment front, the event promises to have movie screenings, fortune telling, KTV booths, arcade games, and even live performances!

For those who love photography, or want to grab aesthetic pictures for Instagram – there’ll be hundreds of lanterns at the event, that photography enthusiasts can use as a subject or a backdrop!
