How would you like a year’s subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, Nintendo’s premium online network. Sounds like a great deal doesn’t it?

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, Twitch Prime is handing out a year’s subscription to Nintendo’s service. All you need to do is head over to this link, to login and claim it.

That’s what we would be saying if there weren’t some pesky catches.

The big one is that it ONLY works if your account’s from selected countries. Sadly, Singapore is not one of them. Hell, no Asian country (except Japan) is on the list.

Why hasn’t Nintendo Switch Online been officially available here? Ask Nintendo. They’ve always adopted a laissez-faire attitude when it comes to Asian territories. It’s been this way since the NES days.

Another catch? You’ll need to claim it twice (once now, another time in three months).

Why the hoops to jump through?

Why not just give it all at once? Again, we have no idea.

You can read the complete FAQ over at the link above and if you qualify, congrats! You’re potentially getting up to a year’s subscription free!

If not, play something else we guess. We suggest Sekiro and FFXV’s Episode Ardyn.
