There’s something to be said of the Terminator films. No matter how many times Arnold’s T-800 bites the dust, Hollywood still finds a way to bring back the ex- Governator back for another round in the next movie.

Maybe that’s because the series has been rebooted so many times that we’ve honestly lost count. Last we heard, Genisys was supposed to herald a new trilogy but it seems that’s gone the way of the dodo.

Instead, it’ll be replaced by a whole new movie called Terminator: Dark Fate. Perhaps its a hint of what’s to come since it was John Connor who first used the line ‘The future has not been written. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves.’.

Ominous but we’re betting this has something to do with the inevitability that is Judgement Day.

Sure, it’s been shown in the past but it’s also the only plot that’d make sense with Sarah Connor back in the fray. This will probably be a selective reboot of the movies, anything past Terminator 2 doesn’t exist in the continuity no more since Sarah’s dead in Terminator 3.

Well, we’d be lying if we said that this new Terminator movie doesn’t excite us. Check out three reasons why:

One of the reasons right there: Linda Hamilton returns!
  • Linda Hamilton returns as Sarah Connor.
  • James Cameron has a hand in this one.
  • Arnold’s back…again!

All we need right now is Edward Furlong and Robert Patrick back and we’d have pretty much the full cast of Terminator 2 (hands down the best Terminator film) already!

Dark Fate will come out on November 1 and will be directed by Deadpool director Tim Miller.
