POCO F9 Series Arrives in Singapore With 185FPS Gaming, Bose-Tuned Audio and Big Battery Energy.

POCO has launched the F9 Series in Singapore, introducing the POCO F9 Ultra and POCO F9 Pro as its latest performance-first flagships. The new duo goes all in on gaming speed, high-refresh displays, big batteries and improved cameras, while continuing POCO’s collaboration with Bose for a more serious mobile audio experience.

The headline figure is 185FPS gaming. That is not a typo, and it is also not something every game will support, but it gives you a pretty clear idea of what POCO is chasing here: fast, smooth and unapologetically gamer-friendly performance.

185FPS Gaming Is the Main Event.

The POCO F9 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and pairs it with a dedicated VisionBoost D8 visual-processing chip. POCO claims an AnTuTu score of 4,165,108, its highest ever on a smartphone.

Both the F9 Ultra and F9 Pro use the dual-chip setup to enable Smart Frame Rate technology at up to 185FPS. More than 20 supported games can reportedly run natively at this frame rate, while five more can reach 185FPS through Smart Frame Rate processing. AI Super Resolution can also work alongside the frame-rate enhancement in selected titles, aiming to make games look sharper while keeping motion smoother.

The rest of the gaming toolkit is equally excessive. There is a 4,800Hz instant touch sampling rate in Game Turbo mode, a 480Hz 10-point touch sampling rate and 200Hz gyro sampling for more responsive aiming and controls. POCO’s 3D IceLoop cooling system is also onboard to help keep performance stable when your “one more match” becomes a two-hour session.

Big Displays, Even Bigger Brightness.

Both phones use 185Hz POCO HyperRGB AMOLED displays with a full RGB subpixel structure intended to deliver 2K-like clarity while consuming less power.

The F9 Ultra gets the bigger 6.9-inch panel, while the F9 Pro offers a more manageable 6.59-inch display. Both can hit up to 4,500 nits peak brightness in certain conditions and up to 10,000 nits for HDR content. That is a ridiculous number on paper, but the practical benefit should be better outdoor visibility and punchier HDR highlights when watching supported content.

POCO is also introducing Xiaomi Vision Care, its first comprehensive eye-care system, with TÜV Rheinland Quadruple Eye Care certification. It is not going to cure late-night doomscrolling, unfortunately, but it should make long gaming and video sessions a little easier on the eyes.

The F9 Ultra features a dynamic rear light for calls, notifications, gaming and music effects. The F9 Pro gets an unusual full-panel luminous rear design on the Aurora Green model, which glows after exposure to light and can even be used to create patterns with a blue-violet laser pointer—yes, really.

Bose Audio Gets Serious.

The Bose partnership is not just a logo slapped on the box this time. The POCO F9 Ultra uses dual symmetrical 1115D stereo speakers and an independent 1620 subwoofer to deliver a proper 2.1-channel audio setup. That should mean deeper bass, a wider soundstage and more convincing separation than a standard phone speaker arrangement.

The F9 Pro takes a slightly simpler route with dual symmetrical 1115F stereo speakers and a sealed-cavity design, tuned for clearer mids, crisp highs and better detail.

Both models include two Bose-tuned sound profiles: Dynamic for fuller bass and a more energetic presentation, and Balanced for cleaner vocals and all-round listening. There is also a new Game Audio mode that boosts footstep loudness and directional awareness in supported games, making it easier to tell where enemies are coming from before they turn you into a highlight reel.

Big Battery, Fast Charging.

The POCO F9 Ultra packs an 8,050mAh silicon-carbon battery, the largest ever in the F Series. POCO claims up to two days of battery life under its internal testing conditions, which should translate to plenty of gaming, streaming and everyday use before reaching for a charger.

The F9 Pro carries a still-generous 6,330mAh battery in a more compact body. Both phones support 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge, though the wireless charger is sold separately. Reverse charging is also included, with up to 27W wired and 22.5W wireless output for topping up other gear.

Cameras Are No Longer Just an Afterthought.

POCO is bringing its first 200MP camera system to the F9 Series, with OIS on both models and a dedicated 200MP shooting mode for users who want extra detail for cropping and reframing. Both phones also get a 32MP front camera.

The F9 Ultra adds a 5x periscope telephoto camera, with 10x lossless zoom and 20x AI Ultra Zoom. The F9 Pro gets a 50MP 2.5x floating telephoto camera that can focus as close as 10cm, allowing it to handle macro shots as well as portraits and distant subjects.

For video, both models support Live Cinematography with 4K capture, automated focal transitions and fluid lens shifts, giving users more tools to create polished clips without bringing a full camera rig.

The POCO F9 Series is available from 1 to 17 September 2026 via mi.com and POCO’s official Shopee and Lazada stores.
