Homegrown kids’ tech brand myFirst has launched its most advanced instant camera in Singapore, the myFirst Camera Insta Lux, designed to turn everyday moments into durable keepsakes for families. The camera was first unveiled at CES 2026 and is now officially available locally.
The Insta Lux uses dye‑sublimation printing instead of traditional instant film, combining the speed of instant photography with high‑quality, full‑colour prints that are waterproof and fingerprint‑resistant. Each photo is created by heat‑transferring colour onto the paper in multiple layers and finished with a protective coating, so prints are built to stay vibrant for years—ideal for scrapbooks, wallets or phone cases.
Equipped with a 5MP camera and Smart Exposure, the Insta Lux automatically adjusts to different lighting conditions, helping kids capture clear, well‑balanced photos indoors and outdoors without manual tweaking. Built‑in creative frames and filters add an easy way for young users to customise each shot before printing, keeping the experience playful and approachable.
With Wi‑Fi on board, the camera also connects to the myFirst Circle app, letting families print photos directly from their smartphone galleries, so older digital shots can be turned into fresh physical prints. A 2.8‑inch IPS colour screen allows users to preview images before they commit to printing, reducing wasted paper, while dual lenses—including a dedicated selfie lens—and an ergonomic shutter button with integrated LED flash make it easier to frame, handle and capture brighter photos.
Availability.
The myFirst Camera Insta Lux retails at S$239 and is aimed at families and young creators who want a simple, point‑and‑shoot way to capture and print everyday moments. Refill film is priced at S$19.90 for two cartridges (up to 20 prints, around S$1 per print), and the cartridge system is designed for quick, fuss‑free replacement.
Available in Cotton Candy Mix and Grey, the Insta Lux can now be purchased from the myFirst digital store, the myFirst Suntec Experience Store and POPULAR Bookstores nationwide. To mark the launch, POPULAR Bookstore members can enjoy a special in‑store price of S$219 for the Insta Lux, with refill film available at S$17.90.
