Who would have thought that we would be playing video games during class? That’s right! JBL, a trailblazer in audio technology introduces the future of academia with the launch of JBL Quantum Game Theory — a revolutionary programme that reshapes the way students interact with educational content, by merging gaming and educational content seamlessly.

For the second time, JBL Quantum Game Theory, partnered with ITE College East’s Faculty of IT to weave curriculum elements right into the gameplay. Teaming up with Garena, a Singapore-based game publisher and online gaming platform, the programme dives into the world of Call of Duty: Mobile, a fan-favourite multiplayer game.

Students undertake gamified learning modules, solve in-game quizzes, tackling missions, to obtain higher-tier weapons during the game phase. Not only will the student be able to obtain better weapons with higher quiz scores. The top eight students with the highest quiz scores and in-game points will walk away with prizes, so both brains and brawns are equally important in JBL Quantum Game Theory.

And to crank up the excitement for students, JBL Quantum Game Theory sets the stage with an esports arena on campus. It features gaming desk setups, audience seating and live gameplay broadcasted on a big screen. But the fun does not stop there as students also snag a QUANTUM PASS which unlocks special discounts on JBL gears and Call of Duty: Mobile in-game perks.

Over two days, more than 200 students took part in Quantum Game Theory. Besides the students’ gaining a deeper understanding of their modules, the feedback received through the post-event survey is remarkable, with 86% of students expressing high engagement and 85% affirming that JBL Quantum Game Theory made learning fun and interesting. 83% also believe that the programme is on the right track to transform academia by blending gaming elements in learning.

Stay tuned for more JBL Quantum Game Theory updates as it expands to more Singapore’s tertiary institutions in 2024, with plans to bring the fun to Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, later this year.
Gamification’s potential to transform education is undeniable, and JBL Quantum Game Theory is leading the charge, smashing together the worlds of education and entertainment like never before. With its cutting-edge approach, JBL Quantum Game Theory is poised to lead the way for a new era of education.
