The 5 days event was held at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre from 20 – 22 October 2022 with the online pre-event and after event on 19 and 23 October 2022 respectively.
The trade show was a huge success with more than 3200 attendees from 70 different countries attending, resulting in close to 3000 meetings recorded onsite and online.

The highlight of the show had to be the conference and expo stage talks which saw 70 speakers ranging from game developers and publishers, solution providers to social media companies gracing the stage to share about the latest trends and insights. With names like Blizzard Entertainments, Wizards of the Coast, MOONTON, Ubisoft and many more helming the stage, the crowd were left glued to their seats engaging in lively discussions.

With the event being held in Singapore, Singapore’s gaming and technology community community also showed up in strength with close to 30 booths showcasing their latest games and technology. A total of 88 companies from over 19 countries supported the event.

Since the Covid 19 pandemic, many events had been shelved. gamescom asia had adopted a hybrid system where attendee can attend the event online and connect with trade counterparts on the gamescom biz community app. New games showcase was also done online via the online show PRIMETIME which was streamed on Youtube, facebook and twitch. “The success of this year’s edition has shown the potential of what the games industry, in particular in Asia, has to offer to the world. We are extremely pleased about the turnout particularly in a difficult transitioning year like 2022. The face-to-face interactions, energy and relationships forged onsite was irreplaceable. It’s immensely encouraging that some of our partners have already committed for 2023. This shows gamescom asia is the place to be for the games industry in one of the fastest growing regions and 2022 was only the beginning of our journey.”
