Now, we rarely cover news here at The Technovore…so the fact that we’re covering this one means only one thing; it’s HUGE! Colossal! Galactus sized even! What is it? Well, it’s already been spoiled in the title but if you’re still in the dark (how?), the news is that SEGA Singapore is now in business.

Woo hoo!

What does it mean for the everyday gamer out there?

Not much…yet.

From the Press Release that SEGA Singapore just sent out, they’re just starting out.

In the future though…we expect a more pronounced presence in the local gaming scene from the company. Perhaps in the vein of tournaments, promotions and even presence at local gaming expos like gamescom asia!

Hell, who knows, maybe one day they’ll even localized their games into a couple of our South East Asian languages like Malay or Thai!

That’s all conjecture though…for now, all we have to say is welcome to Singapore SEGA!
