Awhile back, I talked about how the upcoming Samurai Shodown NEOGEO Collection is getting a kick ass Collector’s Edition courtesy of niche publishers, Pix’n Love. Now, there comes news that one of the greatest SNK fighters, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, is getting not only a limited run PS4 physical release, it’s also getting an awesome limited edition too!
In case you’ve not played (or even heard of) Garou, it’s currently the last game in the Fatal Fury series. Like Street Fighter 3, it’s considered by many to be one of the last great 2D fighters from the 90s.
But enough talk about the game…here’s what the limited edition (also known as the Ultimate Grant Edition) looks like!
Behold!

Like the Samurai Shodown NEOGEO Collection, this one will also come with a NEOGOEO case, and a ton of other extras! Particularly awesome is the signed Certificate of Authenticity by Eisuke Ogura (an SNK artist who did the character animations for Garou), the painting (holy crap!) and the game’s OST.
It’s going to be pricey definitely (Pix’n Love hasn’t made any mention of prices at all) but for fans of Garou (or Fatal Fury or SNK), it’s really a no-brainer.
The only question is whether you’ll be able to nab one before it’s gone.
After all, when the Samurai Shodown NEOGEO Collection LE went on sale, the site nearly crashed. That was with 5000 copies available. This one’s ONLY 300 copies! You do the math.
There’s also the Garou: Mark of the Wolves Collector Edition.

This one nixes the signature and the canvas painting but is still limited to 2000 copies.
Finally, there’s also just the game itself in physical format.

Unless you’re really a stickler for physical copies of games, I don’t really see a point in getting it though. Collectors will want the limited editions sure, but a plain jane physical edition isn’t much of a draw, especially since the digital version of Garou can be gotten cheap in sales.
No matter which version you’re looking for, all of them will be available from 2230hrs (GMT+8) TONIGHT at Pix’n Love’s website.
