One of the OG Godfathers of the RTS genre is coming back to teach young ones who things were done back in the 90s…Yep, Command & Conquer is returning in an all new package called the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection.

It’s not the Command & Conquer sequel many were hoping for but hey, at least it’s Command & Conquer right?

It’ll pack the first two games in the Tiberian and Red Alert series; meaning the original Command and Conquer game (aka Tiberian Dawn) and its alternate history pseudo sequel Red Alert.

Both will come with all their expansion packs and it even looks like the Playstation exclusive missions from the PS1 release will be making a return!

Plus, like the Halo Anniversary and Halo 2 Anniversary games, the collection will allow you to toggle in real time between the OG sprite visuals and the newly remastered looks! Even the FMV’s been reworked into a higher resolution.

So. Damn. Awesome!

On top of all the gameplay content, EA’s also dishing out tons of extras, including the ability to listen to the games’ tunes.

My favourite? SEVEN different versions of Hell March.

HELL YEAH!

The Command & Conquer Remastered Collection hits EA’s Origin service and Steam on June 5 2020.

If you’re not down with owning digital versions, the game also comes on physical discs, including a special 25th Anniversary Edition.

The 25th Anniversary Edition (which costs US$149.99) looks to be mighty delicious to collectors! I don’t usually go for limited editions (unless I really love the game or they come with hardcover artbooks) but this one has me seriously considering spending that moolah just for the signed OST.

It’s going to be a real limited run though, with pre-orders closing on April 10 2359hrs EST. You can get this edition (or the Special Edition) from Limited Run Games.
