Coming 16 August this year is Season 2 of Netflix’s crime thriller series, Mindhunter. The show stars Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany as FBI special agents, Holden Ford and Bill Tench, as they interview imprisoned serial killers to delve into the psychology of murder.

Just recently, Netflix releases the official teaser for the much-anticipated second season of Mindhunter.

Here’s the teaser:

As you can see, the upcoming season will feature the Atlanta child murders, a series of murders that took place between 1978 to 1981. Netflix also released a set of exclusive photos from the show including one of Charles Manson portrayed by Australian actor Damon Herriman.

The teaser reveals a shot of a young African American boy being tailed by a man in a car, no doubt the first look at the Atlanta child murders in the series.

There is also a shot of a rally protesting the killings African American children by Wayne Williams. The rally is one of the rallies and marches that were held nationwide.

Besides the Atlanta child murders, Season 2 is also looking at the BTK Strangler case. You can see the snapshots of creepy masks and someone’s hands being bound throughout the trailer.

And to keep things in even more suspense, there’s an unnamed woman who comes home, only to find something wrong in the bathroom. The teaser shows the bathroom door tied to something that makes it shake loudly, catching her attention. As she investigates, she opens the door and gets a big shock.

Whatever it is, the teaser doesn’t reveal so we’ll have to find out during the series.

Mindhunter Season 2 comes out on 16 August this year.
