There’s going to be a new Netflix movie starring Jason Momoa who will also be producing it. Momoa brought in ASAP Entertainment’s Brad Peyton and Jeff Fierson who will be co-producers. Both of whom he has worked with on Netflix series Frontier. Martin Kistler joins in as executive producer.
The movie is a revenge thriller based on a screenplay written by Gregg Hurwitz and Philip Eisner, with revisions by Will Staples. Momoa will be taking on the role of Cooper, a husband who vows to get justice for his wife’s death while protecting his daughter.

Momoa’s best friend Brian Andrew Mendoza has signed on as the film’s director, making this his directorial debut. Besides Frontier, Momoa has previously worked with Mendoza in the action drama Braven too.
Needless to say, Momoa is excited to partner with Netflix again as he got to form his dream team with Peyton, Fierson and Mendoza. According to Hollywood Reporter, he said, “It’s a dream come true to collaborate with him and deliver his vision.”

Fierson also considered Momoa and Mendoza as family after working for all 3 seasons of Frontier together. And he was reportedly thrilled to be working with Peyton again with another Netflix project.
He said, “Brad and I are ecstatic about bringing another project to Netflix, who have truly made us feel like we have a home to make groundbreaking original features and series.”

When talking about the character Cooper, he said that Momoa fit the bill perfectly after reading the script.
“When we first read this script, we knew there was only one actor who could bring the gravitas and depth to the role of Cooper, and that’s Jason. And this is the perfect vehicle for Brian to make his directorial debut,” Fierson said.
Momoa is best known for his roles as Aquaman in the DCEU films, Khal Drogo in HBO’s Game of Thrones and Declan Harp in Frontier.
