Directed by Tim Miller, Terminator: Dark Fate will be available in cinemas everywhere on 1 November 2019. The American sci-fi action film is the 6th installment of the classic movie series that began in 1984.

Working with the franchise creator James Cameron, the 2019 movie will be a direct follow-up to the stories told in The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Meanwhile, the other movies in the series are considered as events happening in alternate timelines.

Watch the much anticipated trailer:

The premise for the upcoming film features a new Terminator (Gabriel Luna) sent by Skynet from the future to terminate their newest target, young woman named Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes), a soldier-assassin cyborg human named Grace (Mackenzie Davis) sent from the future and her friends. Here is where they’ll need help from Sarah and T-800.

Terminator fans are thrilled to know that Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong are back to play character favourites T-800 “Terminator”, Sarah Connor and John Connor in this upcoming film. How awesome is that!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s always good to see a classic movie franchise like The Terminator get rebooted and expanded with new faces. But it’s no Terminator without the OG trio!

It’s so exciting to see the return of both Hamilton and Schwarzenegger! And how awesome does the trailer look?

The special effects in the truck chase scene with the Terminator (0:33-0:44) and the grazing of the metal rod on Grace’s arm (0:47) are especially wild! The detailing is just insane.

Not to mention, the really cool scene where you can see the Terminator taking back his human form (2:17-2:19). The transition looks pretty smooth and realistic.

This is all made possible by Adobe Creative Cloud! Yup, Miller used the Adobe software to create these realistic special effects in the Terminator film.

“I wanted to give a special thanks to Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop for providing us with a seamless editing and post-vis experience on Terminator: Dark Fate,” he said in a special teaser release with Adobe.
