Watch the trailer:

The King’s Man serves as the origin story for the Kingsman films. Set in World War I, the trailer begins with a soldier carrying another as they run through a war-torn field to escape enemy attack.

The character played by Ralph Fiennes is the Duke of Oxford and during a sequence of battle and sparring scenes with plenty of explosions, he tells his protege Conrad (Harris Dickinson): “Our people robbed, lied and killed until one day we find ourselves noblemen. But that nobility never came from chivalry. It came from being tough and ruthless. Real power is not found running after war. Real power lies in understanding who it is you’re truly fighting, and how they can be defeated.”

The trailer also never reveals, or at least define, who the enemy actually is. So that mystery is what’s going to intrigue fans to want to catch the film when it finally drops. That and of course to see more of the fighting scenes, instead of just the impressive glimpses from the trailer.

But if that’s not enough to get you excited yet, the trailer ends with the Duke saying “I know you want to fight, but there are other ways of doing your duty.”

And then they make the grand reveal of the iconic Kingsman tailor shop, with Conrad smiling that knowing smile, before the final shot of that umbrella. We know, Conrad, we know.
