A universe as rich as Star Wars isn’t just populated by humans. There are aliens, droids, animals and everything in between. Sadly, all these fall to the wayside since there’s no way the movies can name them all for you.
Luckily, the Star Wars Kids channel has stepped up to the plate and made this incredibly handy video that shows every single Star Wars creature that’s appeared in any of the movies…except for The Rise of Skywalker of course.
Do you know what a Laa is?
Don’t worry, you’ll soon find that out…and MUCH, MUCH more.
We all know the basic ones of course; Tauntauns, Dianogas, the Krayt Dragon’s remains (maybe one day we’ll see one for real in the movies).
But even our basic knowledge pales in comparison to the ones we don’t know…and there are a ton of creatures that fall into this caterogy.
Take No. 14 (Cave Sketto) for example.
All these years after watching The Phantom Menace and we didn’t even realize they had an official in-universe name. We’ve been calling them bats all the while!
We didn’t even know there was a Star Wars creature called a Frog-Dog!
It’s not a joke, a Frog-Dog is No. 66 on the list. Seriously, who was in charge of naming that poor animal? We don’t know whether to laugh or cry at the lack of creativity here.
It’s almost as bad as being named Elan Sleazebaggano, who is ALSO a real Star Wars character. He’s the Death Sticks dealer Obi-Wan mind tricked in Episode II.

Hopefully, the people at the Star Wars Kids channel are working on follow ups to this video. We’d love one that details all the alien races in the movies or one detailing all the names of the droids!
